Before you trust us with a classroom.
Your teachers teach; we are the room they teach in. So the questions a head asks us are about the platform, not the people: how children are kept safe in it, where pupil data goes, that it holds together on a bad network day, and what comes back at the end of term.
Short answers first. The person who wants the file gets the file.
Where pupil data goes — and does not
Ugandan law, by name
We operate under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019. Not a policy summary — the governing law of the system’s design.
Names never reach the AI
Where a lesson touches an AI service — the practice coach, a drafted report — the child is a placeholder, and their name is put back on our side after the text returns. The model is never told who it is helping.
No ads, no profiling, no training
Pupil data is never advertised against, profiled, or used to train models. There is nothing to opt out of because it does not happen.
And nothing to install: it runs in the browser, so there is no app on school machines and no account store for your IT to defend.
How children are kept safe in the room
These are what the tool enforces, whoever is teaching — the rules do not depend on remembering them.
Groups are supervised
A group can talk, and the teacher hears every group at once and can step into any of them. Groups are time-boxed, cannot exist without an adult in the room, and every open and close is logged.
The lesson chat is kept
What is typed in a lesson is saved with it, like the board — it belongs to the school, to read back or produce if a question is ever asked.
Cameras start off
Voice first, camera by choice. Nothing about a lesson requires a child’s face on a screen.
Never shaming
Wrong answers are "Not quite," never red ink on a leaderboard. There are no streaks, badges, or behaviour points anywhere in the product.
Nothing is recorded. Everything is logged.
No audio or video of your pupils exists anywhere. What exists instead is an account: who was in the room, who held the pen, when groups opened and closed, and every time an adult acted on a child’s work. Ask us for it and we produce it.
Built for a bad connection
Nothing to install
It runs in a browser tab — on the staff-room TV, a teacher’s laptop, a pupil’s phone. No app to push, no machine for IT to prepare.
It heals itself
When a phone drops off the network mid-lesson — the ordinary Ugandan data blip — the room reconnects on its own within seconds. Nobody has to refresh, and nothing drawn is lost.
Frugal on data
Voice is about the data of a WhatsApp call; the camera is opt-in. A lesson survives a modest bundle.

PLE, UCE and UACE items written against NCDC learning outcomes. We never reproduce past papers — every practice item is original.
A human approves every item
Nothing reaches a child unmoderated: a named reviewer approves each question, and an independent solver re-checks the answer before publish.
The evidence you get back
Attendance is measured in the classroom itself, not copied from a register somebody filled in afterwards — so the termly figures are evidence rather than a summary of one.

Lessons taught, teacher time in the room, and how many of each class turned up against its roll.

Every lesson written up
The whiteboard is kept and the lesson is written up. The record belongs to the school; print it or export it.
